These are so fabulous Nina! What medium are you using? I wanted to branch off into colour so I bought some water colours and oils... For so long I stayed with graphite and charcoal...
ha ha.. I was knitting on break last night and about put myself to sleep! So far I've done pot holders and scarves! :)
THANKS katie -- these are pen and ink drawings, colored with watercolor pencil.... and then washed over with a "watery brush". I don't even bother spending $ on the pen/ink supplies, I use ballpoint! KNITTING IS FUN and I see it as active meditation........ I should post a pic of the latest project that I am knitting: a blankie!
You draw them first with ink ( ballpoint pen in your case.. ) and then colour them like you would a picture? Are you painting on water colour paper? These are so wonderful! I have water colour pencils.... these looks so cool!
I was telling someone at work that I wanted to do some painting or something creative and fun this weekend. I'm suppose to be packing... lol.. but it is the Texas Game and Wildlife Expo Weekend..so I'm going to go hang out there with my camera...
I've actually drawn on wood, then burnt the picture in, colour with pencils and varnished...that was fun..and the tiger is beautiful. I'm putting another layer of varnish on it tomorrow.
